New messages are retrieved upon logging into your mail account. To retrieve new messages at any other time during your session, click "Check mail" on the left pane.

Note. New messages appear in bold type in the message list.

Showing More Messages
You can display more messages in the message list in one of the following ways:
  • Click "Next Page" (a link just above the message list) to display the next set number of messages. Click "Prev Page" to return to the previous list of messages.
  • Click "All messages" to display all messages in the message list.

Note. You can set the number of messages that display at a time.

Sorting Messages
You can sort messages in the message list by Sender (From), Subject, Date or Size by clicking on the appropriate header. Click the same header a second time to sort messages in the opposite direction.

For example, to sort messages by Sender from A to Z, click From. To sort from Z to A, click From again.
 

Deleting Messages

Deleting. To delete a message, enable the checkbox to its left in the message list and click the Delete button. You can delete multiple messages at a time by selecting the checkboxes adjacent to each message before clicking Delete. You can select all messages by clicking the uppermost checkbox.

Note. You will be able to display deleted messages, until they are purged.

Undeleting. To undelete a message, select it by enabling its adjacent checkbox and click the Undelete button.

Note. A deleted message is denoted by the following icon:

Purging. To remove all deleted messages from your account, click the Purge button.
 

Forwarding Multiple Messages
To forward more than one message at a time, enable the checkboxes adjacent to the messages you want to forward and click the Forward button. You can select all messages by clicking the uppermost checkbox.
 
Moving Messages
To move a message from the current folder to a different folder, enable its adjacent checkbox, select the folder from the Move To drop-down list, and click the Move To button.

The following icons indicate the status of messages in the message list:

      New Message

     Previously Read Message

     Reply has been sent

     Deleted Message

     Message includes an attachment

       Message is high priority

     Message is low priority
 

Displaying Messages

To display a message, click the subject of the message in the message list.
 
Replying to Messages
To reply to the message sender, click the Reply button in the message window. To reply to the sender and all listed recipients of the original message, click the Reply All button.

Forwarding Messages
To forward a message, click the Forward button in the message window.

Note. The original message will appear as an attachment.

You can also forward multiple messages simultaneously.

Opening Attachments

Attachments are listed at the bottom of the message window as file names, preceded by the icon. To open an attachment, click on its filename.
 
Editing Messages
To edit a message, click the Edit button in the message window. This opens the message in a Compose window, allowing you to modify and send the message as if it were a new message.
 
Printing Messages
To print a message, click the Print View button in the message window. This opens the message only in its own browser window, allowing you to use the print function on your browser to print the message.
 
Deleting the Current Message
To delete the current message, click the Delete button in the message window.

Note. If you delete the message inadvertently, you can undelete it on the message list.

Headers
To view detailed header details, such as Return-Path and MIME-version, click the Show Headers button in the message window. To remove these headers once they are displayed, click Hide Headers.
 
Saving the Current Message
To save the current message as a text file:

1. Click the "Save" button.
2. Designate a location and format for the text file.
3. Click the "OK" button.
 

Adding an Address to the Address Book
To add a displayed address to your address book:

1. On the message, click "Add to Address Book," which follows the e-mail address you want to add. An Address Book entry screen appears in the bottom pane, with the Full Name and Email fields containing the sender's details.
2. Enter additional details as required.
3. Click the "Save" button.

 

Blocking a sender
To reject future messages from the current message originator:

1. On the message, click "Block Sender."
2. Confirm that you want to block messages from the current sender.
3. The sender's address is added to the Reject List.

 

Finding Messages

Searching for Messages
You can search your mail account for one or more messages. To conduct a search:

1. Click "Search mail" on the left pane.
2. Enter text to be found in any or all of the following fields: Subject, Message Body, Originator (From), Recipient (To/Cc).

Note. You can enter partial information in any field. For example, typing "Dav" in the From field will find messages from "David Smith" and "Pam Davidson."

3. Enable the checkbox under "Select a particular date range" if you want to further limit your search to a general time frame. Select Before or After and specify a date.
4. Select one or more folders in which to search. Click the Select All button to search all folders in your account.

Note. The search will not return any results if you do not specify a folder.

5. Click the Search button at the top of the screen.
 

Jumping to a Message
You can move to a particular message within the message list. To move to a specific message:

1. Type the message number in the "Go To" field and click the "Go To" button.
2. The message list is then displayed beginning with the specified message number.

Note. Since the entire list, beginning with the specified number, is displayed, the message list might take a while to refresh.
